Account Manager Horeca & Retail

Are you a driven and results-oriented Account Manager with a passion for the Hospitality & Retail industry?

Responsibilities: As Account Manager Hospitality & Retail, you are the ambassador of Salty Seafood on Curacao. Besides strong account management with current customers to provide excellent customer service, you proactively look for new customers within the catering & retail industry, such as supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, and catering companies. With your commercial skills, you identify opportunities and know how to convert them into successful collaborations. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers and work closely with colleagues to understand customer needs and provide solutions that drive sales. This role requires excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of retail and hospitality, and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.

What you will do:

1. Accountmanagement:

  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand their needs and resolve any issues.
  • Proactively anticipate customer needs and advise them on products and services that improve their sales performance.
  • Advising customers about our range of high-quality seafood products.
  • Be closely involved from A to Z in developing unique seafood concepts together with the customer and your colleagues.

2. New Business:

  • Actively approach and acquire new customers in the hospitality and retail sector.
  • Conduct market research by visiting supermarkets to identify opportunities and analyze the competition.
  • Draft and present proposals to potential clients to establish new business relationships.
  • Network during supplier visits, events, and business meetings.

3. Sales and negotiations:

  • Conclude sales agreements and negotiate contract terms with customers.
  • Achieve the set sales goals and track sales performance.
  • Collaborate with teams, such as sales, marketing, and purchasing, to translate customer needs into appropriate solutions.

4. Knowledge products and market:

  • Gain knowledge of the industry and services offered.
  • Stay informed of trends and developments through the latest news in the retail and catering market and use this knowledge to advise customers effectively.

5. We are looking for:

  • At least a completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field such as sales, business administration or retail management.
  • A sales professional with relevant experience, preferably within the (frozen) seafood or food-liquor sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • An enterprising personality who sees and seizes opportunities within the dynamic world of seafood.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant business tools.
